A dedicated athlete

Kable is a nationally ranked trampoline athlete who has devoted countless hours to his sport, constantly pushing himself to learn new skills, improve, and compete at the highest level he can.

The accident

During training, Kable suffered a devastating fall, landing on his neck and sustaining a C3-C4 dislocation with severe spinal cord compression. He underwent emergency surgery, and although the spinal cord was successfully decompressed, he has not yet regained meaningful movement below his neck.

His prognosis remains unclear. His doctors have made clear that his recovery will be a long and uncertain road. But anyone who knows Kable knows one thing: he is a fighter. If anyone is going to give everything he has to make the strongest recovery possible, it is Kable.

Small signs that mean everything

We are already seeing small signs of progress. One recent video shows Kable attempting to move his arm on command.

It may look like a small movement, but to the people who love him, it means everything. Every movement, every response, and every bit of progress gives us another reason to keep fighting alongside him.

The person behind the athlete

Kable is, without hesitation, one of the kindest, most generous, and beautiful souls you could ever know. His compassion for other people—especially younger kids—has always been extraordinary.

When he wasn’t training for trampoline, Kable worked at the gym helping train young gymnasts. He was also a dive coach. He has always had an enormous heart and a way of making the people around him feel cared for and encouraged.

An unforgettable moment in Canada

Recently, while on vacation in Canada, Kable visited a trampoline park. Soon after arriving, a group of young teenage boys approached him as if he were a celebrity. They had found his Instagram account and excitedly asked him, “Is this you?” Evidently, he was known even in a small town in Eastern Canada.

Kable confirmed that it was him, but instead of simply saying hello and moving on, he spent the next 45 minutes answering their questions, giving them advice, and helping them improve their trampoline techniques—all while keeping a guiding hand on their safety.

Watching from a distance, you might have thought they were his students, close friends, or family. They were strangers he would likely never see again. But Kable became an instant coach, an instant mentor, and an instant cheerleader for them.

That is who Kable is. He makes people feel comfortable, encouraged, and loved. He is pure joy.

Why support is needed

This fundraiser was created to help Kable and his family navigate what lies ahead: rehabilitation and ongoing care, travel and related expenses, and the support his family will need while they focus on Kable and his recovery.

Estimated rehabilitation services for this year alone could reach approximately $300,000 to $400,000.

There are still many unknowns. We do not know how much movement Kable will regain or exactly what his recovery will look like. We do know that the road ahead will be long and that he will need tremendous support along the way.

For as long as his family can remember, if you asked Kable to do something—whether it was something ordinary like running an errand or something exciting like going on an adventure—his answer was almost always the same:

“Let’s do it.”

So this is our “Let’s do it” for Kable.
